Investment Counsellor – Private Wealth

Primary focus: providing exceptional client experience and growing the business by attracting new clients. Strong client relationships will focus on understanding each client’s unique needs, collaborating internally to develop/recommend investment strategies designed to achieve client goals with Fiera’s customized multi‑asset solutions across traditional and alternative asset classes.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture strong client relationships, maintaining an excellent reputation with clients.
• Prioritize client engagement and satisfaction, focusing on clients’ needs and delivering exceptional service to clients and their families.
• Communicate skillfully with strong written and verbal skills, presenting ideas clearly to keep the audience engaged.
• Generate and foster innovative ideas, developing solutions that create value for clients and identifying market trends and opportunities.
• Exhibit strong networking skills and be well known in the market.
• Be a highly results‑focused self‑starter, concentrating on reaching or surpassing expectations and adopting strategies that improve results.
• Develop a business plan outlining ambitious growth objectives, business leads, Centres of Influence, and key activities to achieve goals.
• Adapt to unforeseen situations and changing environments by modifying behavior to meet new requirements.
• Demonstrate strong financial acumen, market awareness, and expertise in the investment industry and financial markets, staying current on trends and insights.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and demonstrate curiosity.
• Effectively communicate Fiera’s service offerings and strategies in alignment with client needs, collaborating with internal partners to provide relevant information.
• Operate with high integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and a rigorous approach consistent with Private Wealth practices, paying attention to detail.
• Act as a leader, promote Fiera’s values and Private Wealth vision, mentor within the organization, and participate in and lead projects.
• Collaborate as a team member and leader, actively participating in Private Wealth activities such as creating marketing materials and generating leads for national relationships.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education.
• Professional designation: Chartered Financial Analyst and/or Chartered Investment Manager.
• 10+ years’ experience as an Investment Counsellor; marketplace prominence and performance are critical.
• Licensed with the relevant provincial body.

Additional Information

Hybrid working environment with 4 days in office per week.

Positions in Quebec (Montreal and Laval) require proficiency in French, both spoken and written, which is mandatory. Working English proficiency is also required to serve our offices and clients around the world.
