Description

Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?

Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It With Pride.

As a leader in RDQ, you are responsible for driving the quality strategy and operational excellence across the Canada network. You will be an integral member of both the NA Quality and Canada MSC Leadership teams. Leveraging your broad technical expertise and inspirational leadership, you will identify, define, and solve complex business problems while building a strong, sustainable quality culture. You will create alignment and connectivity across local, regional, and global quality agendas in your relentless drive for quality excellence.

How you will contribute

You will be the business unit quality leader on QFS related topics, ensuring products meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements. To excel in this role, you will drive implementation of regional and global strategies; identify, report, monitor and direct corrective and preventive actions associated with quality KPIs and quality compliance to our Food safety/Quality Systems, and partner with cross-functional internal and external business partners (R&D, regulatory, marketing and manufacturing) to meet our quality agenda. In addition, you will lead regional quality programs; share best practices among manufacturing sites through quality benchmarking; support special situations and early warnings with respect to plant investigations, root-cause analysis and follow-up to protect Mondelēz International and our consumers. You will be an ambassador, driving quality and sharing expertise with colleagues to ensure that quality improvement becomes an instinctive culture across the business.

This position has responsibility for 1-3 direct reports, with indirect reports within internal manufacturing facilities. This position requires experience with quality and/or manufacturing, understanding of Quality & Business Systems and the ability to influence stakeholders.

This position will report to the Sr Director, Quality Canada & G&G.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Influence Senior Operations & RDQ Management and lead the development and implementation of a manufacturing quality strategic plan that sets a strong Quality direction for the Manufacturing network. Deliver continuous improvement across manufacturing network through new tools / application, network benchmarking and leveraging cross-category, cross-region collaboration to ensure product design processes, consumer complaints and quality systems are best in class.
  • Responsible for Commercial Quality priorities with heavy R&D linkage
  • Drive the successful implementation of quality policies, programs, tools and technologies that position Quality as a competitive advantage. Leverage shared services to enable achievement of manufacturing goals. Ensure preparedness for internal and 3rd party audits.

Ensure direct staff is properly trained, focused and viewed as exceptional partners to the plants and external manufacturers.
  • Take a leadership role in risk assessment activity throughout the value chain and report on areas of improvement, following up on progress, and proactively assisting in issue resolution and elimination to assure that established company quality standards are consistently met with a primary focus on Food Safety programs.
  • Leverage Center Quality resources in Food Safety, Sanitation, Audit and Supplier Quality and collaborate on BU priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and customers at the BU level.
