Job description
Become a pivotal part of Canonical's innovative MAAS team as Engineering Manager. Drive the development of on-demand cloud infrastructure while collaborating with engineers worldwide. This full-time, mid-senior level role requires leading a distributed team focused on building private bare-metal infrastructure using Python and Go. Your responsibilities will include mentoring engineers, managing stakeholder expectations, and promoting modern software practices in architecture and development processes. Key Responsibilities: • Lead a geographically diverse engineering team • Foster talent growth through mentorship and career planning • Interface with senior management and stakeholders effectively • Advocate for modern software development approaches • Collaborate with Canonical and open-source partners Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent • Proven software development experience with Python or Go • Knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and cloud technologies • Strong written and spoken English communication skills • Capability to mentor and support team progression Advance your career by guiding a talented team and contributing to impactful projects at Canonical's MAAS. #J-18808-Ljbffr
