About the Opportunity

• Monthly Consolidation Close
  • Support the monthly consolidation of financial results across all jurisdictions (Canada, U.S. and Europe), including the preparation of consolidation entries, intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
  • Perform variance analysis on consolidated results and investigate significant fluctuations and underlying drivers.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Quarterly and Annual Financial Reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), including note disclosures.
  • Analyze consolidated results, perform variance analysis, and investigate significant fluctuations and underlying business drivers.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly close deliverables.
• Process Improvement & Technical Accounting
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation initiatives and best practices, to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Research technical accounting issues and support the implementation of new and amended IFRS.
• Other
  • Prepare statutory financial statements for legal entities to support tax filings.
  • Maintain and document effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Assist with and/or lead special projects and ad-hoc analysis.

About You

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting or public accounting, ideally from large publicly traded organizations.
• Experience in a multicurrency environment or the real estate industry is an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager 7s and/or Workiva is an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and departments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement including an openness to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence as a tool to improve operating efficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range
$90,000 - $95,000 / year
