Job description
Take on the role of Literacy Lead with the Superior North Catholic District School Board, prioritizing student literacy and inclusive educational practices. This position involves extensive travel and strategic leadership. To qualify, you must have current Ontario College of Teachers certification, along with a strong commitment to literacy development. 3-5 years of relevant experience in teaching and academic leadership is required, as well as skill in using Google Apps for Education and Assistive Technology. Key Responsibilities: • Drive literacy growth through curriculum implementation • Collaborate with educators to enhance teaching strategies • Conduct workshops and academic coaching sessions • Oversee assessments based on the Growing Success framework • Manage communication between students, staff, and parents Requirements: • Ontario College of Teachers certification in good standing • AQ - Reading Specialist with Early Years focus • AQ - Special Education Part 1 credential • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Passing Vulnerable Sector Check required before employment Contribute to a culture of literacy and inclusiveness throughout your educational community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
