Job description
Lead the engineering efforts at Okta as a Staff Backend Engineer, focusing on AI-native practices for a secure digital credential ecosystem. Influence the future of identity with reusable, tamper-proof technology. In this role, you will drive the technical direction for our Verifiable Digital Credentials (VDCs) platform. Working with a team of talented engineers, you’ll set the standard for high-quality code and AI integration within development processes. This position demands a deep understanding of backend architecture and experience in cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: • Define and implement technical architecture for VDCs • Promote high standards through rigorous code reviews • Oversee operational health and incident management • Encourage AI integration in the software lifecycle • Tackle technical debt across engineering processes Requirements: • Expertise in Java or Node.js for backend systems • Familiarity with web authentication and security protocols • Experience with AWS cloud architecture • Ability to shape team practices and mentor peers • Hands-on experience with identity frameworks is advantageous Join Okta to innovate in the identity space and facilitate the transition to digital credentials. #J-18808-Ljbffr
