Job description
As an Application Architect specializing in COBOL and IDMS at IBM, you’ll engage in transformative modernization projects impacting leading companies. Enhance your career by resolving critical application issues. IBM seeks a Software Engineer with deep knowledge of IDMS and COBOL for its modernization projects. Your role will focus on problem determination, enhancing COBOL code, and documenting resolutions effectively. This position requires strong communication skills and a keen analytical mindset essential for impacting client applications positively. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze and resolve modernization application issues • Recommend corrective actions and improvements • Maintain detailed documentation of problems and fixes • Modify COBOL frameworks per project requirements Requirements: • Minimum 5 years in IDMS application/database usage • 5+ years of COBOL and COBOL/CICS expertise • Exceptional documentation and communication skills • Understanding SQL and DB2 concepts advantageous Bring your technical prowess to IBM and lead significant application improvements for valued clients. #J-18808-Ljbffr
