Commercial Lawyer – In‑House

Type: Permanent (Career). Salary up to £71K. Located in Coventry or Birmingham. Qualified Lawyer / Commercial Legal Advisory. Company: Leading Multinational.

Join a team of 36 lawyers and compliance experts, including 9 Senior Legal Counsels and a Senior Data Protection and Compliance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Specialise in Energy Infrastructure Solutions: provide advice on all aspects of development, sales, construction and operation of new and existing energy infrastructure projects, including biomass combined heat and power plants and low‑carbon heating and cooling systems.
• Work with Commercial leads to develop innovative decarbonisation strategies and advise on contractual changes required by upcoming regulation and the decarbonisation of the UK heat market.
• Draft and negotiate a full spectrum of commercial contracts, including heat network contracts such as ESCO, waste heat off‑take and private wire agreements.
• Support the B2B energy solutions business: provide day‑to‑day assistance on development, sale, procurement, construction and operation of energy solutions projects (on‑site and off‑site PV solar, wind and heat pumps) for industrial, commercial and public‑sector customers.

Qualifications

Qualified lawyer with commercial legal advisory experience.
