Personal Injury Lawyer
This role offers a large book of active files with lucrative opportunities for the right candidate. Our client provides a steady stream of cases, allowing you to focus on practising law and achieving successful outcomes for your clients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage personal injury cases from intake to resolution
- Work collaboratively within a team environment
- Identify files ready for settlement discussions or prepare for settlement conferences
- Review, analyze, and assess incoming medical and other related documents
- Track deadlines and timelines efficiently
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring files are updated and documents are in order
- Prepare clients and attend examinations, motions, mediations, etc.
- Draft settlement proposals and negotiate settlements
- Provide ongoing review and management of files with assistance from paralegals, legal assistants, and schedulers
Requirements
- A licensed lawyer with 1-15 years of experience
- Called to the Bar and licensed to practice
- Experience handling litigation files from start to finish
- Knowledgeable in the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, initiative, and a team-oriented mindset
