We develop innovative engineering solutions, implementing the latest technologies, to deliver optimized outcomes for our clients and communities.

  • Plan, size, evaluate, select, and specify electrical systems in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct field investigations, liaise with clients and contractors, perform detailed planning studies, prepare design calculations, author technical reports, and deliver presentations to stakeholders.

  • Act as electrical discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects; act as technical lead and/or project manager on electrical projects.
  • Serve as electrical engineer‑of‑record (EOR) for projects and project components of varying degrees of complexity.
  • Develop and manage electrical scope, budget, staffing, and schedule for projects of all sizes.
  • Conduct and/or oversee field reviews to assess existing as‑built conditions.
  • Prepare electrical studies, assessments, technical memorandums, and reports.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of electrical construction drawings such as single line diagrams (SLDs), power and lighting plans, grounding and lightning protection plans, elevations, wiring diagrams, motor control schematics, riser diagrams, installation details, and schedules.
  • Lead the preparation of electrical technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and testing and commissioning plans.
  • Coordinate electrical technical specifications and drawings with construction documents and other disciplines.
  • Model, study, and analyze power systems (load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash, and motor acceleration studies).
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship for junior and intermediate engineers and designers.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owners, contractors, sub‑contractors, and vendors.
  • Participate in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and conduct quality assurance reviews and implement quality control frameworks.
  • Conduct technical reviews of project deliverables produced by peers and subordinate engineers.
  • Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the electrical group.
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects.
  • Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and complete field reviews of construction for conformance with design.

Capabilities and Credentials

  • Requisite knowledge of industry standards, electrical and building codes.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts and effective communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications, especially in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards, particularly in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through all phases of project delivery.
  • Ability to review work of others for accuracy and completeness.
  • Time‑management skills to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Collaborative team engagement and creative critical thinking.
  • Excellent oral, written, and technical writing skills.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and interview skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoDesk products (AutoCAD, Revit); familiarity with Bentley products (Microstation) is an asset.
  • Experience with specialized power system software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or EasyPower; advanced knowledge of associated studies is required.
