What you'll do

You will be a senior full stack developer responsible for designing, developing, and delivering critical components of our new Toon Boom cloud platform. You will work closely with the team lead and peers to build a scalable, secure serverless infrastructure. Your technical expertise, autonomy, and attention to detail will be essential for delivering a world-class SaaS platform.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop serverless backend components and robust APIs with TypeScript, following best practices in architecture and security.
• Implement and optimize AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch) to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
• Contribute to the progressive modernization of our existing PHP codebase to TypeScript and serverless architecture.
• Implement robust observability with OpenTelemetry, monitoring, and logging to ensure visibility and rapid detection of production issues.
• Master and adopt AI tools and coding engines (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to improve your productivity and share best practices with the team.

What you'll need

• You have at least 5 years of solid full-stack web development experience, with demonstrated expertise in architecture and backend application development.
• You have solid hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and scalable SaaS applications on AWS using TypeScript/Node.js.
• You have deep expertise in key AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch) and understand cloud security principles and best practices.
• You have solid experience with SQL (Aurora, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases, including query optimization and caching strategies.
• You master TypeScript and Node.js with solid hands-on experience building serverless applications (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, events). PHP/Laravel knowledge is a plus for modernization.
• You have solid knowledge of modern observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, CloudWatch, structured logging) and appreciate code visibility in production.
• You are enthusiastic and able to quickly adopt AI tools and coding engines (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to boost productivity and code quality.
• You have solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including secrets management, authentication/authorization, and OWASP principles for web applications.
• You are capable of contributing to 24/7 production system stability and reliability, understanding the importance of resilience for mission-critical systems.
• You have solid understanding of serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, event-driven) and best practices for designing maintainable, performant REST APIs.
• You are autonomous, proactive, and collaborate effectively with peers and the team lead. You have strong communication skills and enjoy sharing knowledge with your team.
