Job description

Position Summary

At Summa, our operations run smoothly thanks to organized, resourceful people who are always ready to lend a hand. We’re looking for a versatile individual who will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day activities between the shop, yard, deliveries, and office.

This is primarily a hands-on role (approximately 80%), with an administrative component (20%) focused on logistics and operational coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate deliveries and oversee the logistics of outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain the organization and efficient operation of the yard.
  • Safely prepare, load, and unload materials.
  • Ensure proper storage, identification, and organization of parts and materials.
  • Work closely with the production team to plan and coordinate shipments.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to operations, including order tracking and purchasing support.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and help ensure the smooth running of shop activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Organized, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working both on the shop floor and at a computer.
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or a shop environment is an asset.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes, or a willingness to learn.
