Job description

VRIFY is positioned at the forefront of the mining industry's transformation, leveraging cutting-edge AI to revolutionize mineral exploration. With a focus on AI drill targeting, VRIFY is expanding its capabilities by synthesizing vast amounts of geological information. This integration enhances the precision and efficiency of exploration strategies, offering our clients innovative solutions that depart from traditional methods.

Our mission extends beyond technological advancement. We are committed to transforming how mining companies engage with investors, aiming to foster a more transparent and accountable mining investment ecosystem. VRIFY's technology enables immersive 3D and 360° presentations that provide investors with a vivid and detailed visual context, making complex geological data accessible and engaging.

As we continue to refine our AI-driven solutions, VRIFY remains dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in the mining sector, ensuring our clients and investors are well-equipped to succeed in a rapidly evolving market.

About the Role:

At VRIFY, we are expanding the capabilities of our AI Team with the addition of a Senior Geophysicist. Your role will primarily focus on data compilation and interpretation, serving as a geophysical expert within a team that thrives on data-driven insights. You'll play a key role in synthesizing geophysical information to support our AI-driven targeting solutions, driving innovation in exploration strategies for our clients. As an integral member of our AI Team, you will be at the forefront of blending traditional exploration geophysics with modern data analytics. Your contributions will be vital in transforming raw data into actionable insights, thereby influencing decision-making processes in exploration ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and synthesize geophysical data from various sources to support analysis and modeling efforts.

  • Interpret geophysical (with an emphasis on geological) data within the context of broader data science objectives, providing insights and recommendations.

  • Troubleshoot problematic geophysical data where necessary; function as the team resource for geophysics.

  • Work collaboratively with data scientists to integrate geophysical (with an emphasis on geological) understanding into predictive models and analytical tools.

  • Participate in the development and refinement of data compilation methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Contribute geophysical expertise to cross-disciplinary projects, ensuring that geoscience perspectives are represented and valued.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Geophysics.

  • Geophysical Expertise: Demonstrated experience (8 years minimum) in geophysical data compilation, processing and interpretation for mineral exploration.

  • Technical Skills: Competence in geophysical software (Geoscience Analyst preferred), GIS, remote sensing tools, and familiarity with databases. Exposure to data analysis software (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.

  • Collaborative/Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary remote team and with our clients, bridging the gap between geology and data science.

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.

What We Offer:

  • Health Benefits: Extensive coverage, medical, dental, and vision plans.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Including vacation days, sick days, personal days, public holidays plus extra time during holiday season.

  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible work hours, remote work options plus option to use workspace in Downtown Vancouver (free snacks & gym).

  • Professional Development: Career growth program to help our team unlock their potential and advance their career.

  • Performance Bonuses

  • Wellness Programs: Fitness allowance, work from home allowance, mental health support.

  • Retirement Plan (RRSP/DPSP)

Terms of Employment:

  • Compensation: $140,000 to $150,000 CAD per year
