We're seeking a Lead, Internal Audit Data Analytics for a 1-year contract with a hybrid work arrangement that includes occasional on-site attendance. Candidates located in Ottawa or Montreal are preferred, although Toronto-based candidates will also be considered. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status, or have resided in Canada a min. of 5 years to be eligible to attain one.
This senior role will lead the development of a scalable, risk-based data analytics capability within Internal Audit, establishing the strategy, standards, governance, and reusable solutions that support audit delivery and continuous monitoring. Responsibilities include designing reusable analytics, dashboards, and automation solutions, embedding analytics into audit planning and execution, implementing continuous auditing approaches, and developing data governance and quality practices. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience building enterprise analytics capabilities within audit, risk, or technology assurance environments, designing scalable analytics solutions, and leading through influence by coaching and enabling senior professionals. Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk and control frameworks, analytics governance, automation, and continuous monitoring is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Professional certifications such as CAP (Certified Analytics Professional) or CBIP (Certified Business Intelligence Professional) are considered strong assets.
