Job description
H. L. Blachford is a chemical manufacturing company which produces chemical powders, liquids, and lubricants for drawing wire and other products. Our company has been in operation since 1921, and we remain strong in our business because we test and innovate better methods to produce higher quality and efficiency. All our manufacturing processes are designed to be flexible and versatile with short lead times in mind. We have never been afraid to make big changes if they mean improving our quality of service. This position involves; transporting raw materials or finished goods between storage and production areas, packaging products, cleaning or housekeeping responsibilities, plus other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor. Our chosen candidate should have 6 to 12 months experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to safely operate a forklift. We are looking for a task focused person who can take on various tasks competently including assisting the operators in making product batches and setting up equipment for production runs. Skills and Education requirements: Must be physically able to move and lift containers up to 50lbs At least a basic level of math is needed A good level of verbal and written English is required A least 6 months experience working in a manufacturing environment 1 year or more previous experience using manufacturing machines Capable of efficiently operating forklift, certification preferred Rotational shift (approx every two weeks): Shift 1 - 6:30am-3:00pm Shift 2 - 2:30pm-11:00pm Shift 3 - 10:30pm - 7:00am Benefits: Company events Company pension Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Profit sharing H.
