About the Role

The Project Site Supervisor oversees and coordinates day-to-day production activities for assigned projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role manages the physical build by coordinating labour, materials, equipment, and workflow across multiple trades, while acting as a key liaison between Production Management, Project Management, Leads, and production employees.

Why Join Us?

  • Leadership role in one of BC’s largest recreational marine groups.
  • Competitive hourly compensation and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to influence operational strategy and project success.
  • Work on innovative, high-value yacht construction and refit projects.
  • Supportive workplace that values teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Site Oversight

  • Oversee daily production activities for assigned projects, ensuring work progresses according to schedules, priorities, and quality standards.
  • Execute and monitor the physical build from active production through completion.
  • Identify production bottlenecks, delays, or workflow disruptions and implement corrective action or escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Track project progress against milestones and proactively address schedule impacts.

Labour & Trade Coordination

  • Coordinate workflow across multiple departments and trades, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fairing, painting, and finishing.
  • Ensure work is properly sequenced to minimize delays, conflicts, and rework.
  • Assign daily work priorities and ensure labour, tools, materials, and equipment are available to support project needs.

Leadership & Team Supervision

  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, and support to assigned production employees.
  • Make day-to-day operational decisions to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Monitor productivity, performance, attendance, and workmanship.
  • Promote accountability, provide coaching, and foster a respectful, collaborative work environment.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, safe work procedures, and regulatory requirements, including WorkSafeBC.
  • Conduct safety observations and address unsafe conditions or behaviours immediately.
  • Report incidents, near misses, injuries, and safety concerns promptly.

Quality Control

  • Ensure work meets required workmanship, design, and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections, identify deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
  • Promote high-quality workmanship and minimize rework.

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain regular communication with Production Management, Project Managers, and Leads regarding project progress, labour needs, and production issues.
  • Provide updates on milestones, delays, resource constraints, and participate in planning meetings as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in production, construction, shipyard, marine, or related trade environments.
  • Supervisory, foreman, lead hand, or similar leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of multi-trade coordination and project sequencing.
  • Experience in complex custom-build, refit, or project-based environments is considered a strong asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical specifications is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High accountability and ownership mindset
  • Strong conflict resolution abilities
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Work Environment

  • Primarily based in active production and project environments.
  • Requires standing, walking, climbing, and working around tools, equipment, and active work areas.
  • May require overtime or schedule flexibility based on project demands.

We look forward to hearing from you!
