Job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced, dependable, and engaging full-time nanny to join our childcare team as soon as possible. Our current nanny has begun her maternity leave earlier than expected, and we are looking to fill this position on an expedited timeline. This is a unique opportunity to provide care for a small, consistent group of children connected to our family-run business. The successful candidate will enjoy a stable, long-term position of approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. We value professionalism, reliability, open communication, and a genuine passion for helping young children learn and thrive. During the summer months, the primary responsibility is caring for my three children: a 5-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl, and an 18-month-old girl. The position also includes care for a 3.5-year-old boy for approximately 15 hours per week as part of our shared childcare arrangement. When the school year begins, the position transitions primarily to caring for my two daughters throughout the day, with after-school care (approximately two hours each afternoon) for my 5-year-old son and another 5-year-old boy from our shared childcare arrangement. The children come from a small, consistent group of families connected through our family-run business, allowing the successful candidate to build familiar routines and lasting relationships with both the children and their families. We are looking for someone who enjoys creating meaningful, engaging days for young children rather than simply supervising them. This position offers considerable independence in planning activities and routines, and we encourage our nanny to create an environment that is active, enriching, and developmentally appropriate. Whether it's spending time outdoors, visiting the park, exploring nature, reading together, creating art, or encouraging learning through play, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping children learn, grow, and discover the world around them. Our ideal candidate is experienced caring for infants and preschool-aged children and is dependable, organized, and professional. They are confident managing multiple young children when needed, enjoy spending time outdoors, and are comfortable planning engaging daily activities independently. Above all, we are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing, and interested in becoming a positive, consistent presence in the children's lives. Childcare takes place on-site at our family-run business in a dedicated childcare space. Previous nanny or childcare experience is required. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. Compensation Approximately 40 hours per week Monday-Friday schedule Competitive compensation starting at $23/hour, with higher compensation considered based on experience and qualifications If you're passionate about early childhood development, enjoy creating enriching experiences for young children, and are looking for a stable, long-term position, we'd love to hear from you.
