About the Role

As our bank transforms toward a skills-based organization, we are building next-generation talent intelligence capabilities to better understand, develop, and deploy our people. We are seeking a Talent Assessment & Skills Validation Lead to ensure that our AI-driven platforms and assessments accurately identify, validate, and develop critical workforce skills — fairly and effectively.

You will play a pivotal role in designing evidence-based assessments, validating AI models for skill inference, and embedding fairness and rigor into how we assess potential across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Capability Assessment

  • Design and validate psychometric and behavioral assessments that measure technical, cognitive, and human skills aligned to business-critical capabilities.

  • Translate job roles and tasks into measurable skill constructs to support career pathing, upskilling, and internal mobility.

  • Create frameworks to continuously evaluate employee skills through structured assessments, self-evaluations, performance data, and peer feedback.

AI & Skills Inference Collaboration

  • Partner with data science and AI teams to ensure that skill inference models (e.g., using NLP from resumes, projects, learning history) are psychometrically sound and fair.

  • Validate that AI-generated skill profiles reflect true employee capabilities and are actionable for workforce planning.

  • Co-lead bias and fairness evaluations of AI outputs, particularly as they relate to skill visibility and career opportunity equity.

Governance & Ethical Standards

  • Develop protocols to monitor and audit automated skill assessments and AI recommendations, ensuring transparency, explainability, and compliance with global standards (e.g., EEOC, GDPR).

  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to document defensible, auditable assessment practices in a regulated industry.

Strategic Talent Intelligence

  • Advise senior HR and business leaders on evidence-based best practices for skills mapping, development, and deployment.

  • Contribute to the global Skills Taxonomy and ensure alignment between assessments, AI models, and workforce planning needs.

  • Represent the voice of ethical and valid assessment in cross-functional product, data, and HR steering groups.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD or Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Psychometrics, Behavioral Science, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in skills or talent assessment, preferably in global or matrixed organizations.

  • Demonstrated expertise in:

Designing and validating assessments for skills, capabilities, or job performance.

Conducting construct validation and adverse impact analysis.

Advising on the use of AI or analytics in people decisions.

  • Strong working knowledge of:

AI/ML systems used for talent insights (e.g., skill inference, talent matching, career pathing).

Skills-based frameworks (e.g., SFIA, World Economic Forum, internal taxonomies).

HR and workforce technologies (LMS, talent marketplaces, HRIS, ATS).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience integrating assessments into skills-based talent platforms (e.g., Eightfold, Phenom, Beamery, Gloat, Workday Skills Cloud).

  • Familiarity with global DEI standards and ethical frameworks for AI in HR.

  • Understanding of workforce transformation, internal mobility, or agile workforce models.

What We Offer

  • A strategic role in shaping how one of the world’s leading banks transitions to a skills-based future.

  • Collaboration with leading minds in AI, talent strategy, and ethical innovation.

  • Global scale, high impact, and visibility across HR, Risk, and Business leadership.

  • Competitive compensation, flexibility, and professional growth opportunities.
