Job descriptionHealth, Safety & Environmental Manager Company: Ogilvie Mtn Holdings LP (OMH) Location: Hope, BC Type: Full-Time Wage: $120,000+ depending on experience Ogilvie Mtn Holdings LP (OMH) is a COR-certified oil/gas construction and maintenance contractor. We specialize in pipeline maintenance involving integrity digs, cut-outs, and construction related activities including valve installs, piping upgrades, hydrotesting and various activities related to operation and upgrades of oil/gas infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced safety professional to join our growing team in Hope, BC, as the company's Health, Safety & Environmental Manager. The ideal candidate has at least 6 – 10 years of experience working as a dedicated safety professional in related industries with a minimum of 4 of those years working as a safety professional in the oil and gas industry specifically in a leadership position. We are looking for candidates with strong leadership skills who are well organized along with a passion and commitment for developing and implementing safety programs that deliver positive results. Responsibilities: Implementation, management, and development of the company health & safety program including reviews and revisions as required. Knowledge and understanding of regulations, company and client policies and procedures, documentation and reporting requirements, construction safe work practices, and equipment/operator certification requirements. Develop safe work procedures, job safety analysis, and pre-job hazard assessments to ensure consistency with OMH/Client/Regulatory safety standards. Coordinate and supervise administrative and field safety personnel working on OMH sites. Audit site safety performance and evaluate program implementation. Recommend corrective actions as needed and follow up to ensure compliance. Train or arrange for training of site workers, project managers, and superintendents as required. Set a good example by demonstrating a positive safety attitude and abiding by OMH, Client and Regulatory safety standards. Strong flexibility with the ability to adapt to change and growth. Support Project Managers with estimating and pre-job deliverables. Other responsibilities to support the success of the company and its operations. Qualifications and Experience: 6 – 10 years as a safety professional with a minimum of 4 of those years of experience being a safety professional in an oil/gas construction environment. Comprehensive knowledge of OH&S regulations and best practices. CSO/NCSO. Post-secondary education in health and safety (OHS Certificate/Diploma) CRSP certification is an asset. A high degree of professionalism combined with strong relationship-building abilities is key to being successful in this role. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and develop a team culture. Must demonstrate passion and commitment to being a safety leader and holding others accountable to the highest level of safety standards. Safety Requirements: Valid Class 5 Driver's license. Drug and Alcohol testing, as required.
