Live-In Caregiver Needed – Mississauga, ON Start Date: Immediate Compensation: $3, 000-$... cash per month (negotiable based on experience) Accommodation: Private bedroom provided in the home About the Role We are a private family based in Mississauga seeking a live-in caregiver to provide dedicated, compassionate day-to-day support for an elderly gentleman. This is a long-term position in a respectful, well-maintained private home. You will have your own bedroom and be treated as a trusted member of the household. Your Responsibilities: Meal Preparation - Plan and prepare halal, diabetes-friendly, and heart-healthy meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to the gentleman's schedule and dietary needs - Keep the kitchen clean and organized after every meal Medication Management - Remind and assist with medication schedule three times daily — on time, every day, without exception Housekeeping - Clean and maintain the gentleman's bedroom, washroom, and kitchen to a high standard - Manage his laundry; washing, drying, folding, and putting away Overnight Availability - Sleep in the bedroom nearest to the gentleman's room - Be available and responsive if he needs assistance during the night Transportation - Drive the gentleman to medical appointments, physiotherapy, errands, and other outings using the family vehicle - A valid Ontario G driver's licence and clean driving record are required General Support - Provide light mobility assistance on an as-needed basis (he is ambulatory and uses a walker sometimes) - Offer general companionship and attentive, respectful care throughout the day Schedule This is a live-in position. You will reside in the home full time and are expected to be available and on duty 6 days out of every 7. One full day off is guaranteed each week, with a second day offered regularly when scheduling allows. Family is present in the home on your days off. What We're Looking For - Female candidates only (bona fide requirement given the live-in and overnight nature of the role) - Fluent, professional English, strong communication is essential - Prior experience in home caregiving, PSW work, or a related field strongly preferred - Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet.
