Job description

Exeter Golf Club is seeking a positive minded individual to be part of our dynamic hospitality team. The individual must be energetic, well organized and possess strong communication skills. The environment will be fun and fast paced with emphasis on customer experience and satisfaction.

Summary:

The Seasonal Line Cook position gives the applicant the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team in a fun, fast paced environment. As a Line Cook you will be a pivotal team member supporting our restaurant and banquet event services.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, assemble, and execute menu items for dine-in, take-out, banquets, and plated service
  • Operate kitchen equipment including grill, flattop, fryers, and pizza ovens
  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and accurately, especially during service
  • Follow recipes, prep sheets, kitchen manuals, and established procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen; complete daily cleaning and equipment logs
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying product quality and quantities
  • Manage inventory through proper stock rotation, storage, and temperature control
  • Work safely and efficiently to ensure consistent food quality and cost control
  • Communicate professionally with the Food & Beverage team
  • Complete opening and closing checklists as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months experience as a line cook (1–2 years preferred)
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong time management skills
  • Available to work flexible shifts
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Food Handler Certification required or willingness to obtain (First Aid an asset)

Working Conditions:

  • Bending, lifting, extended periods of standing
