Job description

Position Summary:Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Pharmacy Services you will be an integral member of the Pharmacy team and be accountable for the pharmacotherapy for patients to ensure optimal patient care is achieved. You will be evaluating evidence-based medicine to support your recommendations and to develop improvement strategies for drug utilization.
Key Qualifications:
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support medication reconciliation and patient education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Adapt to coverage needs across multiple Pharmacentres.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
  • Certification: Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with Kroll or similar digital dispensary systems is an asset.
  • Flexibility to travel between Pharmacentres as required.

Your primary site initially will be Mississauga Hospital; however, you may periodically be required to work at another THP site and therefore periodic travel between sites may be necessary.
