Production OperatorThe CompanyGlobe 24-7 is partnering with a mining client in British Columbia, to hire a Production Operator for their manufacturing facility
based in Langley, BC.
This is a full-time, onsite role, with a
Monday to Friday 7am-3pm, schedule.
Position Overview The Production Operator is responsible for filling, bagging, palletizing, and loading limestone, quicklime, and hydrated lime products for shipment. The role also performs general plant duties and supports daily operations to ensure production, quality, and safety standards are consistently maintained.
The ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate bagging systems to accurately fill limestone, quicklime, and hydrated lime products in accordance with product specifications and customer requirements.
- Monitor, operate, and maintain bagging, palletizing, and stretch-wrapping equipment to maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure accurate package weights.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine adjustments to maintain safe and reliable operation.
- Conduct regular inspections of packaging equipment to identify mechanical concerns and maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform physically demanding manual labour, including repetitive lifting, shoveling, climbing, and working at elevated heights.
- Support equipment operation, basic maintenance, and plant activities using hand tools and material-handling equipment.
- Maintain plant cleanliness by removing spilled lime, limestone, and product residue from production and work areas.
- Complete all assigned tasks in compliance with established safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
- Promptly report equipment malfunctions, operational issues, and safety hazards to supervisors.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Priority will be given to candidates with previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment (ex. Forklifts, Skidsteers, Front-End Loaders) is a strong asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and schedule changes as required.
- Must be available for call-outs and maintain reliable telephone communication.
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position, including repetitive lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, enter confined spaces, and access all areas of an industrial facility.
- Capable of standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor industrial environments with exposure to heat, cold, noise, vibration, dust, fumes, and mineral or lime particles.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all workplace safety policies and procedures.

hourly wage of $33.35, with regular overtime opportunities, and additional comprehensive benefits. Please note this package is set as per the CBA currently implemented onsite.
