The successful candidate
will: Administer, conduct, evaluate and supervise behavioral assessments, including both functional and industry standard assessment measures. Provide effective delivery of evidence-based behavior services through designing positive behaviour support plans based on assessment results. Prepare plans, train and support staff and students through providing personalized goals for students and group programs. Review progress reports, evaluate behaviour plans and achievement of individual goals & program objectives. Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team in the educational setting. NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS Board Certified Behaviour Analyst – an accredited graduate degree, proof of coursework in behaviour analysis and a supervised period of practical experience. Possession of a BC Teaching Certificate and Membership in the BC Teachers Regulation Branch is an asset. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS, ATTRIBUTES and EXPERIENCE Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and demonstrated teaching ability. Demonstrated ability to design and implement a variety of assessment practices to measure and monitor student progress effectively. Ability to identify causes related to difficulties self-regulating problem behavior, and design and implement effective intervention strategies to maximize academic success. Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral communications, written communication, and group facilitation skills. Superior work ethic and social emotional competencies, excellent reflective judgment, and commitment to building effective learning communities. Ability to positively influence instruction, curriculum, assessment, and social-emotional learning. Knowledge and understanding of the application of relevant computer technologies to teaching and learning. Willingness to be involved in professional development, with an ongoing commitment to learn and implement new methodologies and strategies. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to support student success. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: A member of the BC Teachers’ Federation.
