In this role, you will provide expert cyber security and technology risk advisory services, helping to strengthen security posture across cloud and on-premises environments while supporting secure, compliant, and risk-based technology initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cyber security and technology risk advisory services to support organizational objectives and secure technology delivery.
  • Assess current and target-state architectures across cloud and on-premises environments to ensure secure, compliant, and risk-based solutions.
  • Identify and assess security risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps across applications, infrastructure, and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.
  • Develop and maintain security standards, policies, and control requirements aligned with organizational frameworks and industry best practices.

  • Support secure configuration, governance, and compliance initiatives for cloud environments, applications, and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Facilitate and support threat modelling activities across applications, platforms, and AI-enabled solutions to identify threats, attack vectors, and control weaknesses.
  • Enhance application security and DevSecOps practices, including secure SDLC, code scanning, and pipeline security controls.
  • Contribute to vulnerability management activities, including identification, triage, prioritization, and remediation guidance across systems and applications.
  • Advise stakeholders on technology risk, vulnerability management, and security testing practices, including SAST, DAST, container scanning, and dependency scanning.
  • Support the integration of AI into security practices, including vulnerability discovery, risk prioritization, security analysis, and assessment of risks associated with AI adoption.
  • Translate technical security risks into business impacts and provide clear, risk-based recommendations.
  • Produce executive-ready documentation, reports, and artifacts for leadership, governance forums, and key stakeholders.
  • Support implementation planning, prioritization, and adoption of security controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise, facilitate workshops, and deliver knowledge transfer across development, platform, and business teams.
Qualifications
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated experience in information technology or cyber security.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recent demonstrated experience as a Cyber Security Architect or Senior Security Specialist within complex, regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing current-state security posture and defining target-state security architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and governing security controls, including IAM, network security, data protection, logging, and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying security, risk, and compliance gaps and recommending risk-based improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience developing security standards and reusable security architecture artifacts, including reference architectures, patterns, and building blocks.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security and risk frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53/61/92, and ISO/IEC 27001/27002.
  • Knowledge of enterprise and security architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and SABSA.
  • Experience aligning security architectures with regulatory and supervisory expectations, particularly within financial services or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of third-party risk management practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or AWS/Azure security certifications are considered strong assets.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Why Apply
  • Work remotely while contributing to enterprise-wide cyber security initiatives.
  • Influence the design and implementation of secure architectures across modern technology environments.
  • Collaborate with experienced security, technology, and business professionals.
  • Gain exposure to emerging technologies, including AI-enabled security practices.
