Job description
Start your journey as a full-time Gastroenterologist with Nova Scotia Health in September 2024. This role emphasizes patient care and educational mentoring within a collaborative team. As part of the Gastroenterology team at South Shore Regional Hospital, you will deliver quality patient services while engaging in community wellness. Responsibilities include managing a call schedule and providing mentorship to medical students and residents. The role offers flexible vacation time along with competitive compensation through a fee-for-service model. Key Responsibilities: • Manage the full scope of gastroenterological care • Participate actively in a call rotation (1:7) • Offer services to patients in Western Zone as required • Instruct and mentor future healthcare providers • Ensure compliance with medical regulations of Nova Scotia Health Requirements: • Full-time commitment in Gastroenterology • Knowledge of endoscopic procedures • Availability to cover shifts when necessary • Demonstrated teaching ability for residents • Experience using MedAccess EMR system Experience the unique lifestyle and professional opportunities in picturesque Bridgewater, just a one-hour commute from Halifax. #J-18808-Ljbffr
