MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Projects Land Representative to support major pipeline integrity and operations projects across Canada. This role is focused on leading land access, land acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and land strategy activities while working closely with project teams, regulatory groups, legal counsel, Indigenous Relations, construction teams, and external land service providers.
The successful candidate will bring strong project-based land experience from the owner/operator side and have a proven ability to manage land-related risks, coordinate stakeholders, oversee consultants, and resolve complex land issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible land experience within the energy, pipeline, or infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end land scope delivery on infrastructure projects from the owner/operator side.
- Strong background in land acquisition, land access, stakeholder engagement, and land strategy development.
- Experience managing project-related land risks, schedules, budgets, and constraints.
- Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and manage escalated land issues, claims, arbitrations, and disputes.
- Experience overseeing and managing external land service providers, including brokers and appraisers.
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as CER, AER, or BCER.
- Strong project management, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations and risk assessments to project leadership.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred
- Experience with CER and/or BCER regulatory environments.
- University degree in Land Management, Planning, Resource Management, Business, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
- PMP designation.
- Experience using Pandell land management software.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience managing external consultants and service providers with minimal onboarding or supervision.
- Pipeline integrity, operations, maintenance, or infrastructure project experience.
