Hays Civil Construction is partnered with our client, a leading Heavy Civil Contractor, as they continue to grow to hire a Senior Project Manager.

The business brings over 150 years globally as a leading Heavy Civil Contractor. They have had a presence in Canada for over 30 years and are continuing to grow their footprint in significant Heavy Civil projects in Ontario. The business continues to successfully deliverplex and challenging projects, particularly heavy infrastructure projects such as bridges, canals, dams, tunnels, culverts and viaducts.
Your new Role
As the Senior Project Manager, you will focus on projects within the GTA/ Southern Ontario. Reporting to the Vice President of Ontario, as the Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership to a team of project managers, engineers, project coordinators and site superintendents in the successful planning and implementation of medium to large civil construction projects. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for delivering projects on time and on budget, while maximizing financial returns to the organization. With a focus on safety, the project manager provides leadership in the development of project execution plans, project scheduling activities, develops and monitors project budgets and expenditures, and maintains positive relationships with project clients.What you’ll need to Succeed
Experience in building/rehabilitating heavy civil transportation infrastructure (often involving water, such as bridges, canals, dams, culverts, cofferdams and similar) is required. B.Sc./BA in engineering, or civil construction or equivalent relevant project experience. PMP certification with PMI. 15+ year experience as construction project manager with specific experience in managing large civil construction projects in excess of $25 million. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles. Knowledge and understanding of federal and provincial Health and Safety Regulations. Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets. Advanced understanding of risk management and mitigation. Extensive experience in managing budget for large construction projects. Driver's license and personal transportation.What you’ll get in ReturnAs the Senior Project Manager, you will earn apetitivepensation package of $140, 000.00 — $170, 000.00 base salary + bonuses + benefits + RRSP + more.
