Product Manager, Real-Time Grid Operations

Mississauga (Hybrid)

Shape the Future of Critical Infrastructure

At Survalent, we help utilities keep the lights on. Our software powers the monitoring, control, and optimization of electric, water, and renewable energy systems across the globe. As utilities modernize their operations to support renewable energy, distributed resources, cybersecurity requirements, cloud technologies, and AI-driven workflows, the need for innovative software has never been greater.

We're looking for a Product Manager who wants to solve meaningful problems, influence product strategy, and help shape the future of how critical infrastructure is operated.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of software, operational technology, cloud platforms, AI, user experience, and energy transformation.

Why This Role Matters…

The utility industry is undergoing one of the largest transformations in its history. Utilities are facing growing demands for reliability, resilience, cybersecurity, renewable energy integration, and operational efficiency. The software used to operate the grid must evolve to meet these challenges.

As Product Manager – Real-Time Grid Operations, you'll help define and deliver the next generation of software that enables utility operators to monitor, control, and optimize critical infrastructure.

You'll work directly with customers, industry experts, designers, and engineering teams to turn complex operational challenges into innovative software solutions.

What you will be doing:

Own Product Strategy

  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Identify market opportunities and customer needs.
  • Drive product investments that create customer and business value.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand workflows and challenges.
  • Validate opportunities through research and discovery activities.
  • Translate customer insights into product direction.
  • Define requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize features and roadmap initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, QA, and support teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Measure product success through adoption, customer value, and business impact.
  • Communicate product plans and progress across the organization.
  • Champion customer needs and product direction.

Lead Product Development

Drive Outcomes

What We're Looking For…

Product Management Experience

  • Experience managing software products through the full product lifecycle.
  • Strong product discovery, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with Agile software development teams.
  • Ability to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

Communication & Leadership

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field
    • Build Software That Matters - Your work will directly support the operation of critical infrastructure serving millions of people.
    • Own Meaningful Products - Influence product strategy, roadmap decisions, and customer outcomes.
    • Work on Challenging Problems - Operate at the intersection of software, AI, cloud technologies, operational technology, and user experience.
    • Learn and Grow - Collaborate with industry experts, utility operators, engineers, and product leaders.
    • Help Transform an Industry - Play a role in modernizing one of the world's most important industries.

You don't need to be a utility expert on day one. We are looking for high degree of technical curiosity, individuals who enjoy learning complex domains and partnering with subject matter experts to solve challenging problems. Experience in industries such as industrial software, IoT, manufacturing, transportation, telecommunications, infrastructure software, cloud platforms, energy, utilities, or operational technology is highly valued.
