Assistant Project Coordinator/Co-op Student (Civil Construction)
Term: Starting September 2026
Term: 8 or 12 Month Term Preferred
The purpose of the Assistant Project Coordinator is to support Project Managers and Superintendents in the delivery of civil projects. The role focuses on maintaining contract documentation, supporting estimating, and assisting with budget and schedule preparation across Design‑Build, Plan & Spec, and Construction Management contracts. • A vehicle is required to visit project sites as locations are not easily accessible by public transit.
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain purchase order logs, shop drawing and submittal logs, and plan logs.
- Gain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub‑trades and obtain quotations.
- Assist with and/or clarify scope of work with sub‑trades and suppliers.
- Ensure a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements and the Corporate Health and Safety Policy.
- Attend site meetings and assist in the completion of project deficiencies.
- Track and inventory supplies to ensure timely arrival and tracking.
Qualifications
- Full‑time student enrolled in a related post‑secondary program (e.g., Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Civil Engineering) or a new graduate who completed studies in 2026.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel is an asset.
Benefits
Pay Range: $21 – $26 / hour (depending on previous experience)
Location: Site‑based role in Pickering, Ontario at the Duffin Creek project.
