Job descriptionWe are a warm, hardworking professional family (Leaside/Midtown area), with an infant and preschooler seeking an experienced House Manager, Nanny, or Family Assistant to help keep our household running smoothly. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, dependable, and takes pride in their work. While childcare is an important part of the role, we are primarily looking for someone who can help manage the day-to-day responsibilities of a busy household so that family life runs smoothly. Responsibilities Household Management & Housekeeping - Keeping the home tidy, organized, and running smoothly - Resetting rooms and common spaces throughout each shift - Laundry for the family (washing, folding, putting away) - Housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, wiping surfaces, and general upkeep - Organizing children's clothing, toys, and household items - Monitoring household supplies and grocery needs - Running occasional errands as needed - Sanitizing baby’s toys/ items Meal Preparation - Batch cooking and meal prep - Preparing family dinners - Preparing snacks and lunches for the following day - Preparing meals according to family preferences and dietary needs Childcare Support - Caring for our children when they are home from daycare or preschool - Daycare/preschool pickup and after-school routines - Supporting children on sick days, PD days, and school closures - Engaging children in age-appropriate activities and play - Assisting with snacks, dinner, bath time, and evening routines as needed What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: - Warm, kind, patient, and nurturing with young children/ infants - Honest, trustworthy, and dependable - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Proactive and able to work independently - Comfortable managing multiple household priorities - Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of family life - Open to feedback and is a good communicator - Looking for a long-term position - A driver's license and access to a vehicle are considered a strong asset, particularly for daycare pickups and occasional errands. However, we would happily consider an outstanding candidate who does not drive. Hours & Schedule We are flexible and open to both part-time and full-time arrangements. Part-Time Minimum 20 hours per week Typically Monday–Thursday, approximately 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Some flexibility in scheduling for the right candidate Full-Time Approximately 35–45 hours per week Generally later-day shifts, such as 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Schedule can be discussed based on mutual fit Occasional evening or weekend support may be requested with advance notice.
