Pharmacy Systems Implementation Specialist

Our client, Canada's largest retailer, is seeking a Bilingual Business Analyst / Pharmacy Systems Implementation Specialist (Contract) to support the migration of AssystRx to Kroll.

Join a critical transformation initiative modernizing pharmacy management systems across Quebec’s Pharmaprix network. This position focuses on bridging pharmacy operations with system functionality through all project phases—pre-pilot, pilot, post-pilot, and deployment. The role offers hands-on involvement coordinating readiness, testing, and store go-lives within a high-impact provincial implementation. Candidates must be based in Quebec and travel frequently during pilot and deployment periods.

Start Date: July

End Date: December , with possibility of extension

Location: Remote, but must reside in Quebec, with occasional travel to Montreal office. During deployments (late in the year), there will be occasional travel around QC; in January, there will be more regular travel across the province.

Must Haves:

• Pharmacy background required; hands-on experience working in a retail pharmacy is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, store workflows, and how a pharmacy management system enables day-to-day pharmacy work.
• Experience with pharmacy management systems required; Kroll experience is a strong asset, and AssystRx or other PMS experience is beneficial.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred/required for deployments later in the year.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to AssystRx or other pharmacy systems (PMS)
• Business analysis experience, including reviewing and refining existing requirements, process documentation, user stories, UAT / acceptance criteria, and stakeholder facilitation.

Responsibilities:

• Rapidly build knowledge of the Kroll pharmacy management system and how it enables Quebec pharmacy operations and workflows.
• Rapidly absorb the existing requirements, decisions, documentation, open items, and dependencies for the DSQ and workflow workstreams.
• Review existing documentation, user stories, workflows, meeting notes, Jira items, and Confluence pages to understand where the project stands and what remains to be completed.
• Identify what is complete, what remains outstanding, and where clarification, decisions, validation, or follow-up are still required.
• Work with pharmacy operations, product, business, technical SMEs, and vendor/project teams to validate understanding and close remaining gaps.
• Support refinement of existing requirements, workflows, UAT scenarios, readiness materials, and action plans where updates or additional clarity are required.
• Conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario preparation, execution, evidence capture, defect documentation, retesting, and sign-off readiness.
• Use pharmacy operations knowledge to ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, identify missing details, and connect related decisions across workstreams.
• Maintain documentation and project artifacts in Confluence and Jira, ensuring requirements, decisions, defects, and action items are accurate and current.
• Support pilot and post-pilot activities by capturing lessons learned, validating readiness, and helping convert learnings into improved processes or requirements.
• Provide on-site and remote support to Pharmaprix pharmacy teams during pilot, go-live, and broader deployment phases.
• Assist stores with conversion readiness, workflow adoption, validation activities, training reinforcement, and issue escalation during deployment.
• Liaise with pharmacy support teams, IT, operations leaders, vendor/technical teams, and corporate stakeholders to drive issues forward and support successful implementation.
• Document operational challenges, technical issues, and system adoption risks encountered during testing and deployment.
• Help ensure pharmacies are prepared, functional, and confident using Kroll at launch.
