Our Public Health client is seeking a Sr. Enterprise Architect to provide enterprise-level architectural oversight and leadership across multiple IT initiatives within IT Capital and Enterprise Architecture. This role drives technology strategy, ensures alignment to roadmaps, and supports the delivery of integrated IT solutions across various business domains. (Remote)

Overview:

The Enterprise Architect will guide architectural standards, mentor domain and solution architects, and lead the development of scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions. They will collaborate across teams to mature architectural practices, support major IT Capital projects, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and enterprise roadmaps.

Must-Haves:

• Extensive experience as an Enterprise Architect providing enterprise-level architectural leadership.
• Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT solutions.
• Strong experience guiding/mentoring domain and solution architects.
• Demonstrated experience developing and governing architecture standards, best practices, and templates.
• Experience supporting large IT Capital projects and complex multi-domain technology initiatives.
• Ability to create and manage architecture roadmaps, decision records, and solution documentation.
• Experience ensuring solution alignment with enterprise strategy and existing technical ecosystems.
• Strong stakeholder collaboration skills across business, IT, and vendor groups.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience supporting or participating in Architecture Review Boards (ARB).
• Experience with infrastructure-focused architecture roadmaps.
• Background in risk management, compliance, and enterprise governance.
• Experience with vendor evaluations and technology selection.
• Strong documentation skills (diagrams, blueprints, flowcharts).

Responsibilities:

• Provide enterprise-level architectural oversight across multiple IT initiatives.
• Coach and advise domain and solution architects to enhance architectural maturity.
• Develop and maintain architectural best practices, methods, templates, and standards.
• Contribute to and refine domain roadmaps, with emphasis on infrastructure-related solutions.
• Support and participate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) operations.
• Design scalable, secure, cost-effective IT solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Prepare solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and other technical documentation.
• Support IT Capital project delivery and integration with existing systems.
• Assist with vendor evaluations and technology selection.
• Support risk management, compliance requirements, and cross-team collaboration.
• Perform additional duties as required by IT Capital and the Director of Planning and Performance.
