Job description
Commissionaires BC looking for a security supervisor for the Tolko Mill site in Lavington B.C. This role involves frequent walking and stair usage while monitoring assigned areas to ensure safety security and compliance with site rules as well as assisting with scheduling training and client relations.

Schedule:Sunday to Thursday 11pm till 7am
Wage:$23.65/hr

Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Provide superior customer service to our client and site users
  • Perform regular exterior and interior patrols including mechanical rooms
  • Equipment alarm response and monitoring
  • Provide access control as per site regulations including issuing of access cards
  • Investigate security incidents escalating as necessary
  • Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public
  • Help coordinate and support training of new staff
  • Liaise with management and the client regarding any service issues or concerns
  • Assist with scheduling coverage at site and submitting time sheet information as required

Your Must-Haves:
  • A valid BC Security License
  • Fluent English written verbal and reading skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Ability to complete continuous foot patrols walk up and down multiple sets of stairs during your shift
  • Ability to work in an environment with dust exposure
  • Prior supervisory experience would be an asset
Your Nice-to-Haves:
  • Class 5 BC Drivers Licenseand a clean drivers abstract
  • A valid Basic First Aid certificate (OFA 1)

Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities airports industrial sectors and commercial/residential guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.
