OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Sr. HR Manager (North America) this role manages the full employee lifecycle including responding to HR inquiries delivering manager training addressing employee relations matters and supporting immigration processes.

With a strong focus on employee relations and compliance in Canada while this role operates in a fast-paced high-volume environment while supporting core HR operations.

The HR Generalist partners closely with the broader HR team to execute global initiatives and drive region-specific process improvements.

DESCRIPTION

Partner with managers to address employee relations matters including workplace investigations performance management disciplinary actions and addressing general workplace concerns while ensuring proper documentation and compliance

Build strong relationships with employees and managers to foster a positive and compliant work environment

Ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial employment standards

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of province-specific regulations and apply them appropriately

Support policy creation and updates in line with evolving legislation

Assist with audits reporting and internal compliance reviews

Partner with payroll and benefits teams to support accurate and timely processing

Act as a primary point of contact for employee questions including questions related to pay and benefits

Support benefits administration including enrollments changes and vendor coordination

Support employee lifecycle including onboarding job changes and offboarding processes

Provide administrative support for immigration processes (e.g. work permits documentation) in partnership with external counsel

Ensure data accuracy within HR systems

Review HR processes and identify opportunities for improvement executing new efficient scalable processes where applicable

Support HR training initiatives and development of HR resources and documentation

Maintain a high level of confidentiality professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive employee matters

Demonstrate interest in learning U.S. employment compliance and may support U.S.-based employees on ad hoc HR-related tasks as needed

Perform other special projects or duties as required

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with employees and management

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French

High level of attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Strong Excel required)

Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced high-volume environment while maintaining excellent service

Strong judgment and ability to manage sensitive and complex employee situations

High level of discretion and professionalism in all matters

Avec un fort accent sur les relations de travail et la conformité législative au Canada ce poste évolue dans un environnement dynamique et à volume élevé tout en soutenant les opérations RH de base.

Le/la généraliste RH collabore étroitement avec lensemble de léquipe RH afin dexécuter des initiatives mondiales et daméliorer les processus propres à la région.

DESCRIPTION

Collaborer avec les gestionnaires pour traiter les enjeux liés aux relations de travail incluant les enquêtes en milieu de travail la gestion de la performance les mesures disciplinaires et les préoccupations générales en milieu de travail tout en assurant une documentation appropriée et la conformité.

Établir des relations solides avec les employés et les gestionnaires afin de favoriser un environnement de travail positif et conforme.

Assurer la conformité aux normes demploi fédérales et provinciales canadiennes.

Maintenir une connaissance à jour des réglementations propres à chaque province et les appliquer de manière appropriée.

Soutenir la création et la mise à jour des politiques en fonction de lévolution de la législation.

Participer aux audits aux rapports et aux revues de conformité internes.

Collaborer avec les équipes de paie et davantages sociaux afin dassurer un traitement précis et en temps opportun.

Agir comme point de contact principal pour les questions des employés y compris celles liées à la paie et aux avantages sociaux.

Soutenir ladministration des avantages sociaux incluant les inscriptions les modifications et la coordination avec les fournisseurs.

Soutenir le cycle de vie des employés incluant lintégration les changements de poste et les processus de départ.

Fournir un soutien administratif aux processus dimmigration (ex. permis de travail documentation) en partenariat avec des conseillers externes.

Assurer lexactitude des données dans les systèmes RH.

Examiner les processus RH et identifier des opportunités damélioration en mettant en place des processus nouveaux efficaces et évolutifs lorsque pertinent.

Soutenir les initiatives de formation RH et le développement de ressources et de documentation RH.

Maintenir un haut niveau de confidentialité de professionnalisme et de discrétion dans le traitement des dossiers sensibles.

Démontrer un intérêt pour lapprentissage de la conformité en matière demploi aux États-Unis et peut au besoin soutenir les employés basés aux États-Unis dans des tâches RH ad hoc.

Effectuer dautres projets spéciaux ou tâches selon les besoins.

COMPÉTENCES REQUISES

Excellentes aptitudes interpersonnelles et capacité à établir de solides relations avec les employés et les gestionnaires.

Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale en anglais et en français.

Grand souci du détail avec un fort sens des responsabilités et de la redevabilité.

Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel avancé requis).

Capacité à évoluer efficacement dans un environnement dynamique et à volume élevé tout en maintenant un excellent niveau de service.

Bon jugement et capacité à gérer des situations sensibles et complexes liées aux employés.

Haut niveau de discrétion et de professionnalisme dans toutes les situations.

Job requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

35 years of HR Generalist experience with strong focus on employee relations and compliance

Experience supporting multiple Canadian provinces preferred

Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. Workday) preferred

EXPÉRIENCE ET QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES

3 à 5 années dexpérience en tant que généraliste RH avec une forte compréhension sur les relations de travail et les lois du travail.

Expérience de soutien dans plusieurs provinces canadiennes préférée.
