Responsibilities & Qualifications

Novelis is seeking an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join our Maintenance team. Novelis Millwrights work on a wide range of heavy industrial equipment including highspeed aluminum rolling mills batch and continuous strip heattreating furnaces coil slitting and tension levelling systems process and cleaning lines and supporting equipment such as overhead cranes drive systems pumping systems and material handling equipment.

• Executing preventative maintenance with the goal of eliminating losses due to unplanned downtime
• Working with Operators to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
• Repairing on-site equipment safely and efficiently

Work Environment:

The Maintenance team works either a 12-hour continental shift schedule OR 8 hour day shift Monday-Friday. Shift assignments are determined in accordance with the Collective Agreement

The starting hourly rate for this position will be administered at CAD $46.45 per hour. Increasing per the Collective Agreement.
