Key Responsibilities

• Act as the designated 1st Class Chief Engineer for the site and ensure plant utility and powerhouse operations are conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory safety and operating requirements.

• Provide daily leadership and direction for powerhouse and facilities personnel including communication with shift engineers and review of operating logbooks.

• Oversee plant operations and maintenance activities including review and prioritization of maintenance work and management of MAXIMO work orders.

• Coordinate daily operating reviews start-of-shift meetings SPQRCE reviews and other routine operational meetings to maintain alignment on safety quality responsiveness cost and environmental performance.

• Support incident review safety observation activity housekeeping standards and continuous development of GMS practices within the powerhouse/facilities area.

• Prepare schedules support overtime planning manage training coordination and provide direction to team members to ensure adequate operational coverage and capability.

• Coordinate with contractors suppliers and internal stakeholders to support repairs maintenance planning materials procurement and documentation control.

• Complete administrative responsibilities including timekeeping planning purchase requisitions documentation and communication follow-up.

• Identify and implement operational improvements that enhance reliability compliance efficiency and overall plant support capability.

Required Qualifications

• Valid 1st Class Chief Engineer certification appropriate for the sites operating requirements.

• Strong knowledge of plant utility powerhouse maintenance and safe operating practices.

• Experience leading plant operations maintenance coordination and contractor/stakeholder communication in an industrial environment.

• Working knowledge of GMS safety processes standard work and continuous improvement methods.

• Proficiency with plant systems and business tools such as MAXIMO SAP/material processes Microsoft Office and electronic communications.

• Strong communication leadership problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing or large industrial utility environment.

• Experience supervising or directing shift-based operations teams.

• Familiarity with timekeeping maintenance planning procurement support and structured daily management systems.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $135000.00 to $160.00.00. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
