Senior Contracts Negotiator

We are seeking a Senior Contracts Negotiator to join our team!

Position Summary

The Senior Contracts Negotiator leads the development and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, primarily related to aftermarket service sales and procurement activities in the aviation sector, but may also be involved in a variety of other transactions. This role reports to the Director, Contracts, and acts as a technical specialist in contract drafting, negotiation, and transaction structuring, providing expert guidance to internal stakeholders while ensuring alignment with corporate governance and business objectives.

Your contribution as a Senior Contracts Negotiator

• In collaboration with internal teams, lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of complex contractual agreements and proposals.
• Manage closing activities and negotiations with management, as well as with customer and supplier contractual representatives.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on transaction structuring, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters for assigned accounts, including interpreting contractual obligations and proactively resolving issues to protect the company’s interests while maintaining stakeholder relationships.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with customer and supplier stakeholders.
• Ensure all commitments comply with corporate governance and internal approval processes.
• Collaborate with the Legal Services team on complex contractual matters and elevate key risks as required.
• Coach internal stakeholders on best practices in contract negotiation and account management.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in contract negotiation and management.
• Strong knowledge of commercial agreements, negotiation strategies, and risk management principles.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders with a high degree of autonomy.
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written), with strong English proficiency aligned with aviation industry standards; the selected candidate will regularly communicate with colleagues, customers, or partners outside Quebec.
• Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong business acumen and customer focus.
• Expertise in conflict management and resolution.
• May require travel and work outside normal business hours to support a global customer base and transactions.
