Lease up and Occupancy Clerk- Full Time
Makola Housing Society - Langford BC



Position Summary

Makolas Lease up and Occupancy Team provides centralized services to applicants tenants and property management staff for all aspects of applications processing tenant selections subsidy calculations and maintenance requests and will work cooperatively in a team environment to provide prompt thorough and accurate service. The Lease up and Occupancy Clerk is assigned work as required based on changing business needs and reports directly to the Director of Lease up and Occupancy.

This position is full-time permanent Monday Friday 37.5 hours per week from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm based out of the Admin & Finance Office in Langford. This position starts at $29.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • 3 years of office experience and at least 1 year providing excellent customer service and detailed information to the public
  • Post-secondary courses in office or business administration
  • Excellent grammar spelling and punctuation skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of theResidential Tenancy Act or willingness to learn
  • Experience using Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
  • Experience providing service in a Contact Centre environment an asset
  • Experience working in and with the Indigenous community would be an asset


Other

  • Provide a clear Criminal Record Check prior to hiring cost covered by MHS
  • First Aid Level 1 certificate cost covered by MHS
  • WHMIS Certificate cost covered by MHS
