Diabetes Canada is here to helpproviding tools resources and support to make that journey us in leading with strength and compassion - so no one faces diabetes the RoleWere seeking a Community Fundraising & Events Officer to help elevate Diabetes Canadas events and partnerships by developing strategies to cultivate solicit and steward new corporate supporters volunteers and volunteer committees while supporting fundraising to the Manager Community Fundraising & Events the Officer works closely with the Community Fundraising and Events (CFE) team and the National Corporate Partnerships team to build strong internal and external relationships and ensure high-quality consistent stewardship of our event donors and corporate :Our National Office is located atUniversity Avenue Toronto offer a flexible work arrangement allowing employees to work remotely or hybrid; with occasional expectation to be on-site for team meetings event coordination and event :For this role a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle :The hiring salary range for this role is $annually depending on skills and experience with meeting the requirements of the cultivate corporate relationships to help sustain and grow the events portfolio including solicitation for employee engagement initiativeseventsand related peer-to-peer volunteers and support event-organizing with the Manager CFE and National Corporate Partnerships team toidentifyand maximize corporate sponsorship and engagement closely with the Coordinator CFE to ensure all sponsorship deliverables are compelling proposals and presentations for corporate prospects that align withDiabetes Canadas business plan and market a pipeline of qualified prospects and coordinateactivities with other fundraising prospect research toidentifynew contacts companies and growth moves-management approachwithcorporate constituents andmaintainaccuraterecordsin the organizations CRM CFE team within-person : This role is not limited to the responsibilities listed above and may include other duties as You Bring3 - 5 years of proven fundraising experience in a high relationship-based or College degree in Fundraising Marketing Communications or equivalentcombination of education recruiting and supporting volunteer -profit experience in a health-carecharityisan interpersonal and communication skills with comfortinitiatingoutreach to new with a fundraising-related CRM an to multi-task and work under tight deadlines withstrongorganizationalskills andattention to to prioritizecompeting requests and adjust plans as needs to travel andattendoccasionalevening and weekend events and and demonstrates a commitment to Diabetes Canadas mission vision and core Conditions:Occasional evening and weekend attend events.A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle are Join UsAt Diabetes Canada youll play a meaningful role in making a difference every day for people living with or at risk of diabetes.
