Assistin conducting site inspections audits and risk assessments.
Support the development and delivery of safety training and toolbox talks.
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Participate in incident investigations andassistwith root cause analysis.
Maintainaccuratesafety records and documentation.
Promote a positive safety culture by engaging with workers and supervisors.
Stay up to date with local provincial and federal safety regulations.
Provide administrative support to the HSE team as needed.
Certificate diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or a related field (or working toward completion).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role preferably in construction or a related industry.
Knowledge of Ontario health and safety legislation (e.g. OHSA).
Knowledge of conducting safety inspections against regulations and internal procedures.
Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of formwork carpentry electrical and other trades and the ability to effectively communicate about hazards and effective controls to mitigate risk.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to various sites within the GTA
Working towards orpossessingsafety certifications (e.g. CRSP CRST CHSO NCSO).
Experience with incident reporting methodologiessoftwareor safety management systems is considered an asset.
Ability to obtain Reliability Security Clearance.
