Search Atlas is at an exciting inflection point. Were rebuilding and scaling our product experience and we need someone who can shape what that looks like from the ground up. This is not a seat at a large design team. Youll be the designer. The work is fast the feedback loop is short and the impact is immediate.
Youll own design end to end: from early wireframes to final handoff collaborating directly with product managers engineers and leadership. This role grows with the company. If you build well and communicate clearly theres a real path to leading a design function as we scale.
Use AI-based design tools daily to accelerate ideation wireframing and prototyping
Stay ahead of emerging AI tools and actively bring them into the workflow
Push the boundaries of whats possible by using AI to move faster and design smarter
Lead end-to-end design for key product features from concept to delivery
Create wireframes user flows mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma
Deliver designs that are intuitive visually polished and ready for engineering handoff
Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency across all product areas
Document components and patterns clearly so engineers can build with confidence
Identify gaps in the system and proactively close them
Conduct user interviews surveys and usability tests to inform design decisions
Analyze user behavior using analytics tools to surface UX improvement opportunities
Translate research into actionable design improvements
Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the build process
Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders
Communicate proactively flag blockers early and stay aligned without needing to be managed
Experience in product or UX/UI design ideally within a SaaS environment
Strong active working knowledge of AI design tools (Figma AI Galileo Claude or similar). This is a must not a bonus
Strong Figma skills with a portfolio that shows real problem-solving not just pretty screens
Solid grasp of user research methods including interviews surveys and usability testing
Experience maintaining or contributing to a design system
Energized by startup pace. You dont need everything to be defined to do great work
Exceptional communicator. Clear direct and proactive. This is non-negotiable
Business professional English communication skills
Familiarity with analytics tools (Mixpanel Hotjar or similar)
Experience as the sole designer on a product team
