This is a versatile role designed for professionals who thrive at the intersection of engineering excellence and project leadership. The Project Manager/Engineer will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in natural gas, LNG, renewables, hydrogen, and related technologies. You will liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, manage project schedules and budgets, support design development and equipment selection, and ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and engineering standards.

  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, and deliverables, setting clear objectives to drive productivity, quality, and cost performance across the design team
  • Provide technical leadership by guiding engineering teams and ensuring high-quality, compliant design deliverables, including P&IDs, equipment sizing, and design packages, aligned with client specifications and Canadian codes and standards
  • Support project planning through estimating, budgeting, and technical reviews, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with project objectives
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to interpret technical requirements, resolve design and execution challenges, and deliver integrated solutions
  • Monitor and coordinate procurement activities to ensure materials and equipment meet specifications and are delivered in line with project schedules
  • Lead and participate in design and safety reviews (HAZOP/PHA), ensuring technical integrity, regulatory compliance, and adherence to HSE requirements
  • Drive execution by aligning engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and maintaining project momentum
  • Support field execution through site inspections, commissioning, and final facility reviews, ensuring safe, reliable, and operable outcomes; may review, sign, and stamp engineering deliverables as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to design standards, cost efficiency, maintainability, and project execution practices

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or Applied Science; P.Eng. designation (EGBC preferred).
  • Preference for Applicants with US PE License (Any State)
  • 5+ years of experience in Natural Gas, Renewables, or LNG sectors is required.
  • Experience in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) environment and familiarity with applicable provincial and federal regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Preference for experience with centrifugal compression, gas turbines, and LNG systems; field or site experience is an asset.
  • Proven ability in a lead role on multidiscipline projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with a project gate process and change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate conditions and make sound technical decisions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and coordinate small multidisciplinary teams.
