Job description
Join VLink as a Senior Data Engineer in Montreal, QC, where you'll transform regulatory reporting with Databricks and Snowflake. This hands-on role is crucial for migrating legacy ETL systems.

The position is contract-based for 12 months and requires modern data engineering practices. You’ll work closely with various data technologies to design and implement pipelines that meet stringent reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: • Migrate legacy ETL pipelines to a Databricks/Snowflake architecture • Develop and test Spark applications in Scala • Create SQL queries that analyze complex datasets • Oversee schema design in Snowflake for performance • Implement automated parity checks and reconciliation tools

Requirements: • Extensive experience with Scala and the Spark framework • Strong command of SQL for data analysis • Knowledge of Azure architecture and security principles • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools • Background in modern data engineering methodologies
