A systems operations role provides hands-on expertise in IT infrastructure management, server administration, and automation scripting, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting, network security, and end-user support. This includes desktop and Mac support, as well as monitoring and maintaining complex IT environments to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
The chosen candidate will play a key role in managing the IT infrastructure for the Toronto organization, with responsibilities that include configuring, installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting both applications and client hardware. This individual will ensure desktop systems run smoothly, resolve technical issues, and provide end-user support. The role requires close collaboration with network services, software engineering, and application development teams to restore service or diagnose problems. Additionally, the candidate will keep a log of troubleshooting activities to guarantee timely problem resolution. Main duties involve resolving hardware and software issues, executing system updates, and ensuring consistent network connectivity.
Operating Systems & Administration: Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows servers, including advanced administration, Active Directory, and system performance monitoring, and JAMF platform management for Apple devices.
- BS degree with experience in desktop support and systems operations support and some AI knowledge
3-5 years' experience in systems operations support
