Your Responsibilities

Promote a safety-first culture. Engage in health and safety programs that enhance a safe work environment to prevent and eliminate injury.

Drive for ongoing continuous improvement by engaging worker participation in innovative thinking.

Lead daily operations to meet departmental goals and drive continuous improvement. Achieve objectives in safety, quality, scheduling, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Support reporting and operational planning activities.

Foster a positive and inclusive team environment resulting in high team performance. Leverage people programs, policies and work rules to drive employee and team performance.

Establish employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance.

What Skills You Need

3+ years of experience in an operations environment or similar experience, with a focus on maintaining/improving a safe work environment

Strong commitment to health & safety

Ability to read blueprints and previous experience in metal fabrication processes (i.e. welding, forming, machining, etc.)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve business objectives

Ability to build relationships, collaboration and drive employee engagement to build a positive work environment

Excellent verbal & written communication

Previous experience leading teams in a metal fabrication factory environment

Strong conflict management, feedback and coaching skills

Certifications in health and safety training

Education University degree or college diploma with a focus on operations, or equivalent work experience.
