Our client is a growing, design-led architectural studio operating across Western Canada, delivering a diverse portfolio across multifamily, high-end residential, andmercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an Intern Architect with excellent design skills to step into a highly involved, leadership-track role, working closely with the Principal across design, coordination, and project delivery. The role suits someone who is equallyfortable contributing to design direction and hands-on documentation, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced studio environment. *hybrid role
Your new role
In your role, your duties and responsibilities will be; contribute to design development and documentation across multiple active projects while supporting and helping to lead project delivery alongside the Principal Architect. The role involves participating in client meetings, presentations, and stakeholder coordination, as well as working closely with consultants to maintain effectivemunication and alignment. You will assist with bylaw and building code reviews to ensurepliance at all stages, while preparing and reviewing drawing packages, including DP-level documentation where required. In addition, you will support the ongoing improvement of internal workflows and documentation standards and explore the integration of emerging tools and technologies. Overall, you will balance involvement in design direction with hands-on production, contributing at both a strategic and detailed level throughout project delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience within an architectural practice and be eligible for, or actively working towards, registration with AAA or equivalent. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD an asset. You will demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, alongside clear and confidentmunication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Experience contributing across both design development and technical documentation, including drawing production, is essential, with project exposure across residential and/ormercial sectors preferred. A solid understanding of building systems, particularly wood-frame construction, is important, as is a proactive and detail-oriented approach with the ability to take ownership of deliverables.
