Estimator – Institutional ConstructionSalary fully negotiable dependent on experience Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON
Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background pricing institutional construction project ranging from approximately $15M to $80M.This individual will be responsible for preparing competitive and comprehensive estimates while working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, project management, and senior leadership. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for $15M to $80M institutional construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and scope reviews.
• Develop comprehensive subcontractor bid packages.
• Solicit, level, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identify scope gaps and ensure complete trade coverage.
• Prepare labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Participate in bid closings and tender strategy meetings.
• Identify project risks, constructability concerns, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in project handoffs from estimating to operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Proven experience estimating institutional projects in the $15M to $80M range.
• Strong General Contractor estimating background.
• Experience estimating schools, healthcare, municipal/public buildings, recreation facilities, or similar institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, tendering, and subcontractor scopes.
• Strong quantity takeoff and bid-leveling capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience with construction estimating/takeoff software.
• Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related education preferred.
