Job description
Shape community health outcomes as the Director of Family Based Programs with FNHA, focusing on Kwakwaka’wakw families. This role offers strategic oversight and community-driven wellness initiatives.Positioned on Vancouver Island, this permanent role emphasizes leadership in overseeing nursing, mental health services, and environmental public health. Your experience will enhance programs that engage First Nations communities, ensuring health services resonate with cultural traditions and local needs. The position involves onsite work and regional travel.Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement community health programs • Supervise nursing, mental health, and wellness services • Coordinate health emergency management efforts • Engage with community leaders and health professionals • Foster culturally appropriate health solutionsRequirements: • Master’s degree in Public Health or similar • 7–10 years in First Nations health initiatives • Extensive experience in emergency management • Familiarity with Kwakwaka’wakw health challenges • Proven track record in community engagementEmpower Kwakwaka’wakw communities with holistic health leadership and community-focused wellness strategies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
