Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Massage Therapist role based in Newmarket, ON. The Registered Massage Therapist will assess clients’ needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic and relaxation-focused massage treatments in alignment with clinic standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing thorough health histories, documenting treatment notes, collaborating with chiropractors and other practitioners, and educating clients on home care, posture, and stress management techniques. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe treatment environment, adhering to all professional and clinic policies, and supporting a positive, welcoming experience for every client. The therapist will participate in occasional clinic events, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications

Demonstrated proficiency in Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage, with the ability to tailor treatments to diverse client needs and conditions.

Experience or training in specialized techniques such as Shiatsu and related modalities is an asset.

Skills in Stress Management, including client education on relaxation, self-care strategies, and body awareness.

Strong Customer Service skills, with a client-centered approach, professionalism, and clear, empathetic communication.

Registered and in good standing with the appropriate provincial massage therapy regulatory body (e.g., CMTO), with valid liability insurance.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage a consistent full-time caseload.

Strong documentation and time-management skills, with attention to detail and adherence to privacy and consent standards.

Availability to work a schedule that may include some evenings or weekends based on client demand.
